Judge's comments:
It's been a tremendous show with lots of beautiful young cows. I like cows that walk extremely well. Ones that have great udders, tremendous frames, but I like them to look youthful and last. They need power, but they must move freely. These are all dairy cows. They all have beautiful udders, they're upstanding, they've got those long, dairy frames. Let's give them a round of applause.
I pulled out my Jr. 2-year-old. She's extremely long, dairy and open. She's really impressive with her depth of fore and rear rib. She's got a tremendous udder that's high and wide.
The Sr. 2-year-olds - what a beautiful pair. The first has so much width and power, and just a massive, open rib. The second is such a dairy, clean and angular cow.
I also pulled out the pair of Jr. 3-year-olds. Another beautiful pair of cows. The first is so upstanding. She's got all kinds of dairy character. The second has got such beautiful balance and a smacking good udder.
I also pulled out the Sr. 3-year-old that fits in extremely well. What a nice side view and a youthful udder.
But for us, it was easy. Game over. Certain people like certain cows, and one that really grabs me is this Sr. 2-year-old. I just love this cow. She's my kind with her width, power, dairy strength, her opennes of rib and beautiful depth of rib. She's got a beautiful udder and walks extremely well. For reserve, it was a close placing, but we're going with our pair of Jr. 3-year-olds.
Congratulations!
